How do we apply Imtec for Cubicles?
Simply spread 130gs of Imtec for Cubicles per day onto the top of the cubicle bedding.
How much does it cost?
40 day trial with 100 cows 20 bags @ £30 per bag £600.
6 months treament for 100 cows 95 bags @ £21 per bag £1995.
# 500 Imtec for Slurry
2. Imtec for Slurry can be used with straw or sawdust to give dry,healthy stalls by occupying with good bacteria.
3. The ammonia level is reduced by converting it into insoluble peptides.
4. This ammonia has been converted into an insoluble ammonia nitrate improving your crops.
How is Imtec for Slurry applied?|
1. After removal of bedding and washing of cubical put down fresh bedding as per normal. The protocol is based on the removal bedding from 1-3 days, whether this be straw or wood chips.
2. Sprinkle 1kg of Imtec for slurry over all the bedding in the cubicle. 3. Once a week and at least two hours before scraping put down 100g of Imtec for Slurry per animal on the scraping yard. Important notes: a) If strong disinfectant are used contact with the Imtec product will kill it. Please ensure that Imtec is put down above bedding and not on yards that have just been cleaned. b) It is possible that if straw is used that this may be used in the cubicle for longer than anticipated, as the product is specifically designed for use with straw bedding. In which case mucking out should take place only when necessary. If this system is adopted a maintenance dose of 100g of Imtec for slurry should be sprinkled at the back of the cubicle every three days. |

Does Imtec for Slurry Work ?
|
1. Yes. The photograph on the left demonstrates a typical pit treated with Imtec and ready for pumping.
2. Imtec for slurry, if used in the protocol will assist in the reduction of ammonia within the cubicle, thus allowing for less stressful conditions. The product will also dry bedding and maintain it at a constant temperature. The product will immediately work on any faecal material from the cow and will keep yard, channels and pipes free of clogging. On 'feeding' into a pit or tower the product will keep slurry mixed, aerated and free of crust.
