How do you use Imtec?
Bedding product
1.Clean out area for housing with a disinfectant. If used leave for 72 hours to oxidise (otherwise you will kill all our friendly bacteria) or wash down after disinfecting.
2.Spread Imtec product 50g per 10 sq. ft. or as per protocol advised by Imtec Bio staff.
3.Put down straw as advised.
4.Spread Imtec product once again 50g per 10 sq. ft. so that the straw or bedding is sandwiched between the two layers, then set the animals.
5.Spread Imtec once per week 20g per 10 sq.ft.
6.Continue to put down bedding (straw) as and when required.
7.Treat any damp areas with 50 g of Imtec per 10 sq. ft.
8.Muck out as and when required. REMEMBER the Imtec product will either drastically reduces the number of times the animals need to be mucked out,for example cows up to one year, or where this is impractical will at least halve the number of events.
Example of usage:
100 cows inside for 20 weeks would use 50 g. x 2+20g x 20 weeks x 6.5 sq. ft. per cow x100 = 10 bags of Imtec for Bedding @ £70 per bag = £700
Slurry product
1.Clean out housing with a disinfectant. If used leave for 72 hours to oxidise (otherwise you will kill all our friendly bacteria )or wash down after disinfecting.
2.Spread 100g of Imtec product on each cubicle area, or as advised. These will feed into channels to storage areas and keep them permanently open.
3.Repeat process weekly or as advised.
4.Treat slurry towers so that aerating and mixing become completely unnecessary.
5.Place onto land with maximum of ease (no pumping blockages) and with little or no smell.
Treating Slurry Pit and Pool
1. Spread 200g of Imtec per 10 cub.ft. of slurry in pit.
2. Every week spread 100g per animal on the slats over the whole area.
Heavy crusting
In general treating with Imtec maintains bacterial activity and no further treatment is necessary. In the event of a crust treat as follows:
1. Make a water emulsion with Imtec 200g per 10 cub. ft. of slurry in pit or pool.
2.Pump slurry UNDER the crust. (Anaerobic bacteria)
3.Repeat every 3 weeks until the crust has gone.
