How does IMTEC work?
The specially selected, and patented, bacterial cocktail digests the muck to release its
'smell'[ammonia] and with the water content, turns it into a harmless insoluble protein, which sits in the soil,
the reaction is as follows:NH3 (Ammonia) + H2O + Imtec = Peptides (insoluble).
This action will improve the bedding/litter, keeping it drier and drastically reducing the number of times it has to be changed.
However when removed, the bedding/litter will rot down faster and supply an enhanced source of nitrates for your soil.
Importantly the majority of nitrates will not leach away due to the fact this is an insoluble living product, as opposed to the normally used
chemical.
