#500 Imtec for Slurry may be used in two ways:

1.For breaking up crusted towers.

2.Treating pig pens every 2 weeks,avoids any clogging,and/or crusting occuring.

The crust in a tower may be broken up by injecting Imtec below the surface of the crust,see results in photographs above. The AFTER IMTEC TREATMENT. The slurry can be pumped easily, the towers storage capacity reverts to maximum, there is little smell ,without using any other additive .[See the bubbles in the photo proving continual action of Imtec bacteria]. The photos are not the same towers, the photo before treatment is from Robin Barker's Farm you can ring him on 07801 752 542 and he will confirm that the tower is free.

How is the Tower treated? [See photo above]:

1. Make a water suspension with 200g of Imtec per 10cubic feet of slurry in pit or tower.

2. Pump this slurry under the crust at 6 or 8 points.

3.Repeat this once every 3 weeks until contents of the pit or tower are homogenised.

How is IMTEC applied?

STARTING Slurry pit under slats: To optimise odour control it is better to empty and clean the pit and tower before treatment. If it is not possible treat as follows: Slurry pit/tower: Spread 100g of Imtec for Slurry per 10cub.ft. of slurry. -If pit is recycling, drain the slurry to within 4 inches of the bottom and add 50g of Imtec per 10 cubic feet of slurry. -If the pit has permanent drainage before arrival of animals add: Post weaning: 10g Imtec per animal Fattening: 20g Imtec per animal. MAINTENANCE -Sow, Gestation and Maternity- spread 15g of Imtec per 10 sq.ft. on slats and whole surface area. -Post weaning and fattening- spread 20g per 10 sq.ft.on slats and whole surface area. Slurry pit/tower: In general routine use of Imtec maintains bacterial activity and NO further treatment is necessary.

Prices are for 25 Kilo bags delivered (UK mainland), plus VAT at standard rate. Normal terms are 14 days from receipt of goods.

EXAMPLE: One pig treated for 12 weeks would cost around 36 pence each.
